AASC’s 10th Anniversary
Member-Get-A-Member Campaign

Did you know that 3 out of 4 members first learned about AASC from a colleague?
Do you know...
- a colleague who is not currently a member of AASC?
- someone who is new to the field of service coordination?
- someone who just graduated with a degree in social work?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you know someone who should belong to AASC.
With more than 2,200 members at the start of AASC’s second decade, the 10th Anniversary Member-Get-A-Member Campaign begins in October 2009 and will conclude at the National Conference in late August 2010. The vision for a world where the service coordination profession is seen as an absolute must in supported and affordable housing communities inspires many into action. We know that you understand, but we also know there are others out there that feel isolated, disconnected and alone.
Reach out to them. One new member a day will add strength to our collective voice! Numbers do count! Convince a colleague to join and earn $5 ASSC bucks for each new member you recruit, good towards the 2010 National Service Coordinator Conference registration fee or your 2009-2010 dues renewal. In addition:
- Each month, you'll have the opportunity to win a $25 gift card* - even if your recruits don't join - just for giving us the names of five potential members
- Recruit at least 1 new member and win an AASC Charm bracelet
- Recruit 10 new members and get an AASC cardigan
- Recruit 25 new members and get a chance to win a free 2010 National Conference registration
- The top recruiter will win the grand prize of an all expense paid trip** to the 2010 National Conference in Anaheim, CA.
- All recruiters will be recognized during the 2010 National Conference
- Chapter Prize—The chapter achieving the highest overall growth percentage in their chapter membership will receive one complimentary 2010 National Conference Registration. Chapters decide who receives the registration. All Chapters who participate will also be entered in a drawing to receive up to 100 exclusive 10th Anniversary pins to be handed out to Chapter Members in attendance at the 2010 National Conference. Each chapter president will be presented with an achievement plaque as well if the chapter recruits at least 10 new members.
* Prizes will vary
** Includes airfare, hotel and registration only. Does not include meals and miscellaneous incidentals
Remember why you joined? Our ongoing new member survey clearly shows that colleagues and supervisors do recommend membership in AASC. It’s word of mouth. It’s telling the story. Share your personal and professional experiences to help colleagues and peers discover the success AASC can bring to their careers. The best people to do the asking are current members like you.
By reaching out to your colleagues, you can help AASC continue to grow. An increase in membership means an increase in AASC’s ability to be a strong voice for the field of service coordination.
Referring new members to AASC has never been easier! Simply give us the names and e-mail addresses of five colleagues you know who could benefit from AASC membership, and leave the rest to us! We'll send them an e-mail notification of your nomination with a live link to our Membership Drive Web site where they can complete a short Member Application and get complete details on all the benefits of AASC membership!
