is the Answer!

This online program of higher learning from AASC and The Ohio State University Office of Geriatrics & Gerontology offers many benefits over traditional learning. The Certificate Program is 100% web-based, making it cost effective and flexible. Each module is only $20 for AASC members ($30 for non-members). No travel is involved for training; all you need is some quiet time and a computer with an internet connection. This program was designed specifically for Service Coordinators. The coursework options allow you to select module topics that are immediately applicable to your work (elderly, families, special populations, etc.).

To earn the Professional Service Coordinator designation you must complete eight core modules, six elective modules of your choice and pass the Comprehension Exam. The continuing education offered for each module (amounts vary for every module) is offered by The Ohio State University, one of the nation's leading universities.

The PSC Renewal Program is offered to ensure that Professional Service Coordinators (PSCs) maintain the highest professional standards and enhance their continued competence. The program requires that PSCs participate in professional development activities and submit evidence of these activities on a periodic basis. Meeting these requirements in a timely manner is mandatory to maintain the PSC designation. To retain PSC designations, AASC requires all PSCs to renew every three years by accumulating 36 hours of continuing education.
